This year Gwendolyn and Lit Webinar will do a deep dive into several iconic stories by D.H. Lawrence. Known for his emphasis on the senses, which he called “Blood-consciousness”, D.H. prioritized bodily experience over intellectualism, believing physical, instinctual awareness allowed for a truer understanding of life.

Gwendolyn will conclude our journey into the lyrical and sensual world of D.H. Lawrence with a close reading “The Odor of Chrysanthemums,” [available at this link,] one of his most autobiographical stories, and an excerpt of his novelThe Rainbow.  In these works he focuses on the topics of love and death through the use of imagery in a way that only Lawrence can.

RSVP to Gwendolyn here and let her know if you will attend— online only.
