This year Gwendolyn and Lit Webinar will do a deep dive into several iconic stories by D.H. Lawrence. Known for his emphasis on the senses, which he called “Blood-consciousness”, D.H. prioritized bodily experience over intellectualism, believing physical, instinctual awareness allowed for a truer understanding of life. Among the stories we will read and discuss in this three part series are “The Blind Man,” “The Odor of Chrysanthemums,” and “Rocking Horse Winner.”

On April 23rd Gwendolyn and the group will focus on Lawrence's fascinating vision and biography and read and discuss the following story: “Rocking Horse Winner”, available at this link.
